" The most treasured day of my life.

Step one: Find a venue.
Step two: Book a photographer. 
Step Three: Get the dress.
And then all the other thousands of steps that make the sum total of a weddings.

 This 'fact' is strictly stipulated by SA wedding 'Authorities' such as 'Fair Lady Bride' and 'Sarie Bruid'. For most people who have thought, planed and dreamed of their wedding day since the age of 5, it is common knowledge and vital to ensure success for 'THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF ONES' LIFE!

On the other side of the above stated equilibrium is me. About two months before our set date we found a beautiful wedding venue. Two months prior I had a dress made and thirdly I found my photographers.

We were referred to the Portrait Studio by a Friend (also a photographer) Michelle.  By grace they were still available, and within our budget.  Soon after we organized an engagement shoot . We met early on a Sunday morning and arrived at the beach just after the sun rose.  Half asleep and completely in love Dylan and I continued as normal. Jumping, running and being young as usual.  We really wanted the photo's to be fun.  In the beginning I have to admit that I was a bit nervous but Raquel and Colin set me at ease. A little later it felt like a normal morning on the beach with friends. 

The day before the wedding Raquel and Colin met us at the wedding venue for the wedding rehearsal. It was scheduled for the same time as the wedding so that the light could be as close as possible to what it would be expected for our big day. The next morning Raquel arrived at our house 30 min early. 'Just to be safe'.

I got dressed and in the background between all the Oohs and AAH'S, champagne and kisses, was Raqual, barely noticeable. 

The wedding went by in a flash and we were amazingly thrilled when we received the photo's.
Captured moments of laughter, conversation and love stared back at us. Moments that we missed on the night, frozen in time for our enjoyment.

The Portrait Studio has truly been a blessing to us and our families.  Their professionalism stood out and assured us that they were perfect for the job. Their photo's captured and magnified what I know now to be, the most treasured day of my life.
